Ex-Texas Longhorns wide receiver sues woman who accused him of sexual assault

A former University of Texas wide receiver accused of sexual assault has filed a defamation lawsuit against his accuser.

Isaiah Bond, 21, was arrested last week after he turned himself in to Frisco police and was released after posting bail at $25,000 shortly after. He faces a sexual assault charge after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her at his apartment, asking her to sign a non-disclosure agreement and offering her money after the incident.

Bond, who declared for the NFL Draft earlier this year, has called the allegations against him “patently false” in a written statement. The suit, filed Tuesday in federal court, accuses the woman of sparking a “smear campaign” against him after she attempted to become pregnant by Bond or start a relationship with him. The lawsuit argues the accusations jeopardized his draft stock and sponsorship opportunities.

According to the suit, the woman, identified as “Jane Roe” in the filing, was eight years older than Bond and initiated communications with him via social media beginning in October 2024. The suit alleges the woman sent Bond numerous unsolicited, explicit and suggestive messages and asked to meet with him for a sexual encounter, which he agreed to do at his Frisco apartment on Feb. 4.

The suit alleges both parties drank one glass of wine at Bond’s apartment, which was initiated by the woman, as Bond was not 21 at the time of the alleged incident. They then engaged in consensual sexual activity, the suit says.

Afterwards, the suit says the woman stayed at Bond’s apartment and the two engaged in conversation until Bond asked her to leave following a remark she made about how Bond should be careful “not to catch a case” due to his “high profile” status. The suit says the woman then texted Bond to his “complete shock and surprise” that she asked him to stop and was in a lot of pain after their encounter.

The suit then says the woman asked for $5,000 before taking a sexual assault examination and took the case to Frisco police.
