Will LSU play in a bowl game? Predictions for where Tigers may land
The Tigers sprint home to an 8-4 finish, winning its last two games over Vanderbilt and the Sooners to make their record far more respectable. But as Brian Kelly and his players have expressed, it’s been a disappointing second half of the season for them, highlighted by a three-game losing streak to Texas A&M, Alabama and Florida.
Because it’s going to be in the middle of the pack in terms of selection from the Southeastern Conference, which bowl site LSU will land at remains a question.

Will LSU make a bowl game?
LSU secured bowl eligibility several weeks ago with its win at Arkansas.
This bowl season will mark the fourth straight bowl game for the Tigers and 23rd season since 2000 of making a bowl.
Current LSU coach Brian Kelly has guided his team to bowl games in all three of his seasons at the helm in Baton Rouge.
When is bowl game schedule out?
Where each bowl eligible team lands in a bowl game is unveiled on Selection Sunday next week following the reveal of which teams make the newly expanded 12-team College Football Playoff field.
The CFP Selection Show is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday on ESPN.
Once those teams are selected, the remaining games then fill out its slots.
Outside of landing in the College Football Playoff, which would include semifinal games at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl this season, there are as many as nine possible bowl game destinations for the Tigers.
The SEC has seven primary tie-ins with bowl games, while there are two other locations that the league could help fill if needed.
Primary tie-ins include the Liberty Bowl vs. the Big 12, the Las Vegas Bowl vs. to be determined (it was supposed to be PAC-12), the ReliaQuest Bowl vs. the Big Ten/ACC, the Texas Bowl vs. the Big 12, the Gator Bowl vs. the ACC and the Music City Bowl vs. the Big Ten.
LSU could also fill a spot at the Birmingham Bowl vs. the American Athletic Conference or the Gasparilla Bowl vs. the ACC/American, both of those bowl games are secondary tie-ins.
