
Auburn University has unveiled its Spring 2024 PNC Achievers Watch List, spotlighting 12 exemplary student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in athletics, academics, leadership, and community service. This recognition underscores Auburn’s commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals who excel both on and off the field.
Honorees on the Spring 2024 PNC Achievers Watch List
The selected student-athletes represent a diverse array of sports, each bringing unique talents and contributions to their respective teams and the Auburn community:
- Akasha Anderson – Volleyball
- Dylan Cardwell – Men’s Basketball
- Oscar Chapman – Football
- Taylen Collins – Women’s Basketball
- Ryan Eshleman – Men’s Golf
- Caroline Frendenburg – Equestrian
- Sophia Groth – Gymnastics
- Nic Heng – Men’s Tennis
- Hannah Ownbey – Women’s Swimming & Diving
- Maddie Prohaska – Soccer
- Justin Stuckey – Men’s Track & Field
- Carys Worby – Women’s Golf
These individuals were selected based on their exemplary performance in competition, academic excellence, leadership roles, and active involvement in community service. Auburn Athletics Director John Cohen praised their commitment, stating, “With their demonstrated commitment to excellence in athletics, academics, and community service, these PNC Achievers honorees epitomize Auburn being Auburn.”
Selection Process and Future Recognition
An Auburn Athletics staff panel meticulously evaluated the nominees, considering their achievements across various domains. From this distinguished group, six semifinalists will be chosen, leading to the selection of one male and one female as Auburn’s Spring 2024 PNC Achievers. The two honorees will be celebrated during an in-game ceremony, highlighting their exceptional contributions to the university and their respective sports.
About the PNC Achievers Program
The PNC Achievers program is a collaborative initiative between Auburn University and PNC Bank, designed to recognize student-athletes who exemplify excellence beyond their athletic endeavors. This program aligns with Auburn’s AuburnYOU life skills program, which aims to develop student-athletes holistically, preparing them for success in all aspects of life.
