The Vols will host Indiana State on Tuesday (6 p.m. EDT, SEC Network+) before continuing a home stand, Friday-Sunday, against No. 10 Vanderbilt for a three-game series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee will host Belmont for its final home game on May 13 before concluding regular-season play May 15-17 at No. 2 Arkansas.

With two SEC baseball series and two nonconference games remaining during the regular season, Tennessee has the nation’s 14th best RPI.

The Vols also have a strength of schedule ranking of No. 30. Tennessee ranks No. 22 nationally for nonconference RPI and No. 224 for nonconference strength of schedule.

Tennessee holds a 10-6 quadrant one record based on RPI, 7-5 in quadrant two contests, 4-0 in quadrant three matchups and 16-0 in quadrant four games in 2025.

Postseason play will begin with the SEC Tournament May 20-25 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama. All 16 SEC teams will compete in a single-elimination format.

NCAA Tournament regional play will be contested May 30-June 2 and super regionals are scheduled for June 6-9. The College World Series is slated for June 13-23 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

While they remain a top-25 team in most polls, their previous top-5 status is a distant memory. This slide highlights the competitive nature of SEC baseball and the difficulty of maintaining a high ranking throughout the season. The Vols will need to find their rhythm and secure key conference wins to climb back up the national polls and position themselves for a strong postseason run.
