Cowboys Legend Blasts Eagles Fans After Philadelphia’s Recent Success, ‘I’m Sick of Hearing It…’

It was a terrible season last year for the Dallas Cowboys as not only did they miss the playoffs but they also saw their rival host the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.

Dallas finished the season with a 7-10 record that saw them finish third in the NFC East behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders

Of course, the Cowboys were without their star quarterback Dak Prescott for most of the season after he suffered an injury and even with Prescott on the field, they did not look like the team they have been over the past few seasons.

To make matters worse for Dallas, the Eagles ended up winning the Super Bowl and the Commanders made a surprise run to the NFC Championship game behind their superstar rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels.

With the offseason now in full swing the 2025 draft just a week away, Dallas has a ton to improve on but it was one of their legendary players who stole the stage on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith took a shot at Eagles fans after their recent success.

“Now all of a sudden they win two Super Bowls and they think they’re the best thing on the planet and everywhere I go I hear, ‘Go Birds’. I’m sick of hearing it,” Smith said.

“Now all of a sudden they win two Super Bowls and they think they’re the best thing on the planet and everywhere I go I hear, ‘Go Birds’. I’m sick of hearing it,” Smith said.

While Smith may be tired of hearing Eagles fans, he should be used to it with the heated rivalry between Dallas and Philadelphia.

Smith’s statement also showed a little bit of jealousy as the Eagles continue to find success while the Cowboys continue to fall short as they have not won a Super Bowl since Smith was on the roster in 1996.

It is clear that Philadelphia is quickly catching the Cowboys franchise with their recent success and they will once again be a threat next year along with Washington, which could spell trouble for Dallas once again.
