Carlos Boozer<\/a>\u00a0and CeCe Boozer are the parents of Duke basketball stars\u00a0Cameron Boozer<\/a>\u00a0and Cayden Boozer, aka The Boozer Twins, and they have played a major role in their sons\u2019 basketball journey. From Carlos\u2019\u00a0NBA<\/a>\u00a0career to CeCe\u2019s work outside of sports, the family has remained closely connected both on and off the court. Here\u2019s what you need to know.<\/p>\n

1. Carlos Boozer Is a Former NBA All-Star Who Still Shows Up for His Twin Sons<\/span><\/h2>\n

Carlos, who was also a basketball star at Duke, built a successful NBA career before becoming one of the most visible supporters of his sons. He played for teams including the\u00a0Utah Jazz<\/a>, Chicago Bulls,\u00a0Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>, and\u00a0Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>\u00a0and was a two-time NBA All-Star.\u00a0<\/span>He also won a gold medal with Team USA in<\/span>\u00a02008.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, Boozer rarely misses a game.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why I ain\u2019t missing no games,\u201d Carlos said to\u00a0<\/span>Andscape<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI told CeCe this could be the last time our boys play together.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that Cameron\u00a0<\/span>is expected<\/span>\u00a0to enter the NBA draft, while Cayden may return for another season.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to go to as many games as possible, and we\u2019re not taking it for granted,\u201d Carlos said.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. CeCe Boozer Met Carlos in College & Built a Life Beyond Basketball<\/span><\/h2>\n

CeCe met Carlos while they were students at Duke. According to\u00a0<\/span>The Salt Lake Tribune<\/span><\/a>, she first noticed him as a freshman and later reached out to him through the student directory.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two married in 2002\u00a0<\/span>before divorcing<\/span>\u00a0in 2015, but\u00a0<\/span>they<\/span>\u00a0have continued to co-parent their children.<\/span><\/p>\n

CeCe has also built her own career. A former\u00a0<\/span>division<\/span>\u00a01 volleyball player, she later founded an assisted living business inspired by her desire to help her mother.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something completely different that I\u2019ve never done before,\u201d CeCe said on the\u00a0<\/span>\u201cGrown Woman with Shannon Allen\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI feel like this is something that I feel proud of.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

3. The Boozer Twin\u2019s Family Faced a Major Health Challenge Early On<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Boozer family experienced a major challenge when their oldest son, Carmani, was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia before birth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we found out, it felt like our whole universe was crumbling around us,\u201d Carlos said,\u00a0<\/span>according to the Tribune<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

To help save him, CeCe underwent in vitro fertilization, which led to the birth of twins Cameron and Cayden in 2007. The twins\u2019 umbilical cord stem cells\u00a0<\/span>were used<\/span>\u00a0in a transplant that ultimately helped Carmani recover.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carlos described how difficult that time was for the family.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0<\/span>go<\/span>\u00a0there, and there wasn\u2019t anyone there. That is when I felt empty,\u201d\u00a0<\/span>he<\/span>\u00a0said, recalling long nights at the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

The transplant was successful, and Carmani recovered.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. CeCe Boozer Is Known for Her Support & Standout Game-Day Style<\/span><\/h2>\n

CeCe has become a recognizable presence at Duke games, often drawing attention for her customized Duke attire.<\/span><\/p>\n

She recently wore a custom jacket featuring both Cameron and Cayden\u2019s photos with \u201cBOOZER\u201d across the back during a game against North Carolina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her support extends beyond fashion. She frequently shares messages celebrating her sons\u2019 growth and accomplishments.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am so proud of your journey these past 4 years,\u201d CeCe\u00a0<\/span>wrote on Instagram<\/span><\/a> after their high school graduation. \u201cYou have both been amazing students while accomplishing your goals on the basketball court simultaneously.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

5. The Boozer Twins Are Leading Duke During a Major NCAA Tournament Run<\/span><\/h2>\n

Carlos has watched Cameron and Cayden lead Duke during the 2026 NCAA Tournament, understanding that\u00a0<\/span>their time playing together may be limited<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cayden spoke about how important their parents\u2019 presence has been.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s only missed one game, so he basically has been to every game, especially with my mom too,\u201d Cayden\u00a0<\/span>told People<\/span><\/a>\u00a0ahead of March Madness. \u201cSo I think just having family that\u2019s so supportive that comes to every game just makes this college life a lot easier.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The twins followed in their father\u2019s footsteps, starting basketball young and eventually committing to Duke.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBeing around the game for so long just has helped us fall in love with the game,\u201d Cayden added.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Boozer twins and No 1 Duke take on No 2 Connecticut on March\u00a0<\/span>29,<\/span>\u00a0for a chance to reach the final four.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
