Nation’s Top Wide Receiver, Five-Star SEC Commit Reveals LSU Football’s Flip Pursuit<\/h1>\n

Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers continue their pursuit of locking down Louisiana on the recruiting trail with multiple blue-chippers on the program’s radar.<\/p>\n

Once Kiffin arrived in Baton Rouge, there was a primary focus on securing the state’s top talent after signing five-stars Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson with all attention now on the 2027 Recruiting Cycle.<\/p>\n

“The high schools here, it’s been great going to them and receiving the feedback. I’ve always enjoyed, over time, coming here and recruiting. I used to always say it’s like: They love football. Everybody says they love football but the high school coaches here and the people in school, they love football,” Kiffin said.<\/p>\n

“They love coaching football. They love coaching the kids. They genuinely care about the kids. Something that’s kind of gotten lost a little bit. I’d love to sign a lot of Louisiana kids.<\/p>\n

Now, Kiffin has his next top priority target locked in: Easton Royal.<\/p>\n

The New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin five-star wide receiver has checked in with the LSU Tigers on multiple occasions with Royal now returning to Baton Rouge this week on a multi-day stay.<\/p>\n

Royal checks in as the No. 1 rated wide receiver in America with the Texas Longhorns holding the verbal pledge, but it hasn’t stopped the LSU Tigers and other SEC schools from pursuing a flip.<\/p>\n

The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder has taken unofficial visits with the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers with the LSU Tigers now on the docket – arriving in Baton Rouge on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Royal revealed the LSU Tigers – spearheaded by Kiffin – are pushing for him to flip his commitment amid an aggressive pursuit.<\/p>\n

“All day at school all of my friends are pushing me to flip to the LSU Tigers,” Royal\u00a0told\u00a0Fox 8 New Orleans. “You only get this process once – so I’m committed to Texas, but I’m still trying to figure out if that’s the best decision for me.<\/p>\n

“The ultimate end goal is to make the best decision for me and my family.<\/p>\n

“Me and Coach Lane [Kiffin] are building a relationship. He texts me often just telling me to have a good week – sending me videos, motivating me, and recruiting me to be an LSU Tiger.”<\/p>\n
