One of the players who competed was the player who could hear his name called first among the other\u00a0Tennessee players. That player is Jermod McCoy, who is fresh off an ACL injury that he suffered over a year ago.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\">This was the first time that the talented prospect competed with scouts in attendance since he was cleared from his injury. The talented prospect missed the full season, Senior Bowl, and the combine, but was cleared to go for both activities following the season. He opted out of those to save his testing for Knoxville, which was a great decision, as he turned heads at the event. Here is some more information on his day.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"scroll-mt-24 my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\">More Information on Jermod McCoy&#8217;s Pro Day Performance<\/h2>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\">&#8220;The most anticipated Pro Day this year just took place and Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy aced the test. The results I\u2019m told were as follows: 4.38 40 (range from others was 4.37-4.41) with 38\u201d VJ and 10\u20197\u201d BJ. At the Combine, 40 would have been T-2 and BJ T-10 among CBs. The VJ is solid but would have been 13th. McCoy was reportedly cleared to play during the season but opted not to, and he chose not to participate at the Senior Bowl and Combine. So seeing him compete and participate today was critical for teams considering a CB in RD1. He\u2019s CB2 on my board behind only Monsoor Delane (LSU),&#8221; Todd McSay said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\">McCoy was projected to slide down draft boards if he didn&#8217;t compete on Tuesday, but his scores leave many believing that he may hear his name called within the first 15 selections of the very first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. He is one of the two cornerbacks leaving Tennessee with the chance of being selected in the first round. The other one is\u00a0Colton Hood, who also competed at the event.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\">McCoy could be one of the better players in the draft if he can maintain his speed on the field, as he was by far one of the better coverage defensive backs in the country. He will now look towards the draft, as will every Tennessee player, as the public work is done until then.
