C<\/span>oach\u00a0Jon Scheyer<\/strong>\u00a0chose\u00a0Duke University<\/strong>\u00a0as his great opportunity to continue his career, against all odds. What he did not know is that he would also find love when he met\u00a0Marcelle Provencial<\/strong>, with whom he has been happily married for seven years.\u00a0Scheyer<\/strong>\u00a0decided to keep his life around\u00a0Duke<\/strong>, where he was a player,\u00a0assistant coach to Mike Krzyzewski<\/strong>\u00a0and now, as coach, is very close to leading them to the National Championship.<\/p>\n

Who is Marcelle Provencial, wife of Duke coach Jon Scheyer?<\/h2>\n

Marcelle<\/strong>\u00a0was born on June 5, 1987, in\u00a0Lauderdale, Florida.<\/strong>\u00a0She is the daughter of\u00a0Russell and Alberta Provencial.<\/strong>\u00a0She has two sisters,\u00a0Michele and Noelle.<\/strong>\u00a0Her grandfather,\u00a0Ernest Russell Provencial<\/strong>, was an ambitious entrepreneur and her grandmother,\u00a0Mary Antonio Perrotta<\/strong>, was a nurse.<\/p>\n

With an influence,\u00a0Marcelle<\/strong>\u00a0chose to pursue nursing, after training at\u00a0Florida State University<\/strong>, where she studied for a\u00a0Bachelor of Science degree<\/strong>. She later moved to\u00a0North Carolina<\/strong>\u00a0to attend\u00a0Duke University School of Medicine<\/strong>, where she met Jon Scheyer when he was an assistant coach with the\u00a0Blue Devils<\/strong>\u00a0men’s team<\/p>\n

Their relationship became public in January 2013, when Jon shared a photo of them together, during a\u00a0Duke<\/strong>\u00a0game. They eventually married on May 6, 2017, in an intimate ceremony. They currently have three children: youngest\u00a0James Russell<\/strong>\u00a0was born in May 2022; their daughter,\u00a0Noa Marie<\/strong>, was born in January 2018; and eldest son,\u00a0Jett<\/strong>, was born in August 2019.<\/p>\n

“I didn’t grow up in a sporting family. So the whole world of sport was new to me. But Jon and I have been together… we met in 2010, so it seems like a long time since we adapted to this world,” Marcelle said of her marriage<\/p>\n

Regarding her professional life,\u00a0Marcelle<\/strong>\u00a0has a career dedicated to family medicine and patient care, with more than a decade of experience. During this time, she has worked in some of the best\u00a0Intensive Care Units (ICU)<\/strong>\u00a0in the country, including\u00a0Rush University Medical Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2024, she was working as an intensive care nurse at a\u00a0Women’s Wellness Clinic in Durham, North Carolina<\/strong>. Marcelle is recognized for her compassion in working with her patients.<\/p>\n
