Ohio State Buckeyes have offered a Big Ten offensive lineman who recently hit the transfer portal

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ main focus during the transfer portal period has been on the depth of the trenches.

Ohio State should be good with their starters on both sides of the line but they could use more depth for now and the future. Adding offensive tackles Ethan Onianwa and Phillip Daniels in the winter was huge.

The latest offensive lineman that the Buckeyes have been connected to and extended an offer to happens to be from another Big Ten program.

Ohio State has offered Purdue transfer OT Jaden Ball
According to multiple reports, the Buckeyes are one team that has offered Purdue Boilermakers transfer OT Jaden Ball, a 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive lineman from Bloom-Carroll (OH).

Ball was a class of 2024 player and a three-star recruit with offers from other schools like Duke, and Kentucky, as well as multiple MAC offers. With four years of eligibility left due to not appearing in a game in his one season at Purdue, Ball could be a good developmental piece for Ohio State. Being from the Buckeye state helps the chances of him ending up in Columbus.

The Purdue transfer will take a visit to Columbus next week, as well as a visit to Minnesota. Syracuse and the Golden Gophers are two other programs to offer Ball so far since he entered the portal.

all was ranked as an interior lineman coming out of high school but has the ability to play tackle too. Ohio State values versatility in the trenches and Ball fits that mold.

Ohio State isn’t going to make many additions in the spring portal but this very well could be one to watch. The spring doesn’t offer as much high-end talent as the winter portal, though there is still value to be found.
