Texas NFL draft live tracker: Where Longhorns players are selected in 2025
Texas football has the chance at being the most represented team at the 2025 NFL Draft, with 14 prospects having a shot at being taken.
The Longhorns are led by a trio of likely first-round picks in offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., receiver Matthew Golden and cornerback Jahdae Barron. Receiver Isaiah Bond, defensive tackle Alfred Collins and quarterback Quinn Ewers are also expected to hear their name called early in the draft.

Texas fell to eventual national champion Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinal last season, as Buckeyes defensive end Jack Sawyer strip-sacked Ewers to take a two-touchdown lead late in the fourth quarter.
Even so, coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are on the rise, paired with their on-field success and apparent NFL talent.

WR Matthew Golden, No. 23 overall to Green Bay Packers
Golden is the third receiver off the board, and he goes to the Green Bay Packers, the host of the 2025 NFL Draft.
It’s a huge pick for the Packers, who select their first first-round receiver since 2002. Golden’s decision to transfer from Houston to Texas for the 2024 season pays off.
CB Jahdae Barron, No. 20 overall to Denver Broncos
Barron is the first full-time cornerback to be drafted, as he goes first round, No. 20 overall to the Denver Broncos. Barron’s decision to return for a fifth season of college football in 2024 pays off, as he’s now a first-round pick.
OT Kelvin Banks Jr., No. 9 overall to New Orleans Saints
Banks goes No. 9 overall to the New Orleans Saints, linking up with first-year coach Kellen Moore, who won a Super Bowl as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator last season. Philadelphia boasted one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL last season, and Moore bolsters New Orleans’ offensive line with the first-team All-American.
