Kirby Smart, Georgia Dealt Exciting Recruiting News on Thursday

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs got a big-time recruiting win on Thursday, landing a commitment from four-star inside offensive lineman Graham Houston.

Houston, a 6-foot-5, 310-lbs lineman, chose the Bulldogs over Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State. The Buford, Georgia native is the No. 23 interior offensive lineman in the nation’s 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Houston made several visits to Athens over the past year.

“The energy was unmatched from all the other schools that I’ve been to,” Houston said, via Dawgs247.

“They’ve expressed that I’m a big prospect for them in Georgia,” he continued. “I’m really happy about that, because I’m a Georgia kid. They just treat me like I’m a player.”

Georgia has some excellent incoming talent. This year’s class ranks No. 2 in the nation, featuring five five-star and 20 four-star recruits.

Houston is looking forward to working with Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels.

“They have a great history at Georgia and coach Searels is a really good coach,” he said back in March, via On3 Sports. “He has put a lot of guys in the NFL, so that is nice. Georgia is very close to home and that is important too.”

While the match against the Georgia Bulldogs will be challenging, the FAMU tennis team enters the tournament with confidence, prepared to give their best. Regardless of the outcome, their participation marks a significant achievement and an inspiring chapter in the university’s athletic history.

Moving forward, the team aims to build on this success, continue developing their skills, and strive for even greater heights. The experience gained from this tournament will serve as a foundation for future seasons, fostering growth and excellence within the program.

Georgia will begin its 2025 college football season with a matchup against the Marshall Thundering Herd on Aug. 30.
