8th Georgia Bulldog enters transfer portal

The Georgia Bulldogs are losing some of their top offensive line depth to the NCAA transfer portal. Offensive tackle Bo Hughley has entered the portal after spending three seasons at Georgia. He redshirted in 2023 after being ranked as a four-star recruit.

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive lineman played in 10 games during the 2024 season including two starts. Hughley appeared in 10 games again in 2025 and made a big impact in Georgia’s clutch road overtime win over the Tennessee Volunteers.

Hughley’s departure could be magnified if Georgia also loses offensive tackles Earnest Greene and Monroe Freeling to the 2026 NFL draft. Georgia is expected to return Juan Gaston, Drew Bobo, Cortez Smith, Michael Uini, Jahzare Jackson, Daniel Calhoun and more along the offensive line. The Bulldogs would love to see both Greene and Freeling return along with a healthy Drew Bobo.

Hughley is likely seeking more playing time at his transfer destination, but he was not far away from having a starting role at Georgia, so his departure stings a bit. The lengthy offensive lineman should have plenty of transfer portal suitors.
