Duke’s Jon Scheyer says Caleb Foster has ‘outside chance’ to play in Sweet 16 | Report
Jon Scheyer said that Duke basketball guard Caleb Foster has an “outside chance” to play in Friday’s 2026 Men’s NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 meeting against St. John’s, per CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Rothstein posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday morning writing that “Duke’s Caleb Foster (foot) has an ‘outside chance’ to play in Friday’s Sweet 16 game against St. John’s, per Jon Scheyer.”
Foster has not played since Duke’s regular season finale vs. UNC on March 7, breaking his right foot in the first half of the contest. He had surgery immediately following the injury on March 8 and has since been in a boot and on a rover scooter. Scheyer had previously hinted at a possible return this season, but said if it were to happen, the Blue Devils would need to make another deep March Madness run.
