The Duke Blue Devils may have had the best roster in college basketball, but they ultimately met their match in the NCAA Tournament.
Despite having an exquisite roster that passed the eye test on both ends of the floor, even freshman Cooper Flagg couldn’t stop the Blue Devils from losing to the Houston Cougars in the Final Four.
Duke suffered the loss to Houston just before the national title game and after they went on an incredible March Madness run with wins over Mount St. Mary’s, Baylor, Arizona and Alabama.
Flagg led a talented group of freshmen with Kon Kneuppel and Khaman Maluach, all of whom were viewed as some of the best first-year players in the nation.
While Duke was unable to hoist the national championship trophy, a Final Four banner will mark the end of a successful season.
