Who does Duke basketball play next in 2026 NCAA Tournament? Sweet 16 bracket update

Duke basketball has advanced to the Sweet 16 of the 2026 Men’s NCAA Tournament, but the top-seeded Blue Devils still await their opponent.

Duke will play the winner between 4-seed Kansas and 5-seed St. John’s, which play at 5:15 ET on Sunday, March 22. The Sweet 16 will be played on Friday, March 26 at the East Regional in Washington, D.C. at Capital One Arena.

The Blue Devils advanced to the Sweet 16 with an 81-58 win over TCU in the Round of 32 on Saturday, March 21. Cameron Boozer scored 19 points with 11 rebounds while Isaiah Evans added 17, Dame Sarr 14 and Maliq Brown 12. Duke led by four at halftime but outscored the Horned Frogs 43-24 in the second half.

Patrick Ngongba II also made his return for Duke against TCU after missing five-straight games. He played for 13 agains the Horned Frogs with four points, four assists and four rebounds.

Who does Duke basketball play next in March Madness Sweet 16?

Duke will face the winner between No. 4 Kansas and No. 5 St. John’s in the Sweet 16 on Friday, March 27, from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. as part of the East Regional.

If the Blue Devils were to face Kansas, it would be their second meeting with the Jayhawks this season after taking them down 78-66 on Nov. 18 at Madison Square Garden in Washington, D.C. Duke is 9-7 all-time against Kansas.

Duke’s last meeting with St. John’s was a 91-61 win during the 2018-19 season. The Blue Devils are 16-6 all-time against the Red Storm.
